In route to the championship they beat #6 seed, Fire and
Ice, 15-1, and then in the quarterfinal game they beat the
#3 seed, Auburn. Early in the semi-finals the Slammers
fell behind 6-0 but rallied from behind to beat the #1 seed
in bracket B, the Napa Roadrunners. In the
Championship game they faced a tough opponent, San
Carlos Force team, a team the Slammers lost to on Sat
9-4 and a team that finished 3rd in the Regional
tournament at Twin Creeks and qualified for Nationals in
Las Vegas . The West Valley Slammers showed heart and
determination to win one of the best Championship
games 10-9.
This was a complete team effort. The Slammers had
great pitching, played very good defense and got timely
hitting to beat one of the best teams in Northern California
. What a way to finish All-Stars!!!!

Slammers 8U All-Stars First Year is a Success
|
WV Slammers' entrance into the valley's 8u
Allstars scene this season has been a
tremendous success. The 8Us played a total of 4
tournaments and made it to the Semi-Finals in all
of them except for their last tournament where they
took 2nd place. They had a over-all record of
15-6-2, making them one of the top 3 teams in
Santa Clara County!
The WV Slammers families give every one of
these girls, and their coaches, a big "High Five!"
for all of their hard work and for their positive
attitudes. You've made us proud!
